Socius welcomes Mike Dodd to the development team

Socius are delighted to announce the appointment of Mike Dodd as Project Director, who will be primarily based at our Bristol office. Mike joins us with over ten years’ development experience and will oversee the delivery of Soapworks, the £215million mixed-use urban district, and St Christopher’s, an ultra-sustainable later living scheme, both located in Bristol.

Prior to joining Socius, Mike was a Senior Development Manager at Quintain where he played a key role in the delivery of over one-thousand homes across Wembley Park, the 85-acre regeneration scheme in North-West London which is the UK’s largest single Build-to-Rent development.

In addition to this, Mike spent two years as Development Manager at Capital & Counties where he led a number of complex development projects within the Covent Garden estate and spent a further two years at developer Manhattan Loft Corporation, which is best-known for Chiltern Fire House and the revitalisation of the St Pancras Renaissance Hotel at King’s Cross.

Barry Jessup, Managing Director, commented: “Mike has a proven track record in delivering complex urban developments and he will have a key role to play as we bring forward the regeneration of the Soapworks site and aim to set a new standard in sustainable senior living at St Christopher’s, in Bristol. We are continuing to expand our pipeline, focused on the UK’s most dynamic and forward-looking cities, and Mike is an excellent addition to our growing development team.”
