BGY

Edward Street Quarter, Brighton

Designing places were people can live, work and thrive is ingrained in our DNA. And when you find a partner who is aligned with you; you double down. Socius has worked with BGY for the past six years; with a focus on designing and delivering transformational city centre projects.

The first collaboration was in Brighton; taking the former AMEX offices in Kemptown and designing a new campus for living, working and socialising. The largest office development in Brighton for over 25 years; Edward Street Quarter has raised the bar for quality in the city. Large businesses will mingle with starts ups, creatives alongside professional services – contributing to the local and citywide economy.

Socius teamed up with BGY again in 2019 to find a solution to making best use of a brownfield site in central Cambridge. With a shared vision to deliver a genuinely sustainable place that is aligned with UN Sustainable Development Goals; the team set about to deliver a best in class neighbourhood at Devonshire Gardens with homes, workspace and a host of community facilities including a creche, edible gardens, a new public park and a Library of things.
