Devonshire Gardens

Socius has partnered with Railpen, the investment manager for the £35 billion railways pension scheme, in Cambridge.

Working together on the Devonshire Gardens development, the companies have brought together their focus on sustainability, social value and designing for the long term. Plans for Devonshire Gardens include 100,000 sq ft of modern, wellbeing-focused workspace, 100 Build-to-Rent homes and various community facilities, including a creche, pavilion and artists’ studios.

Devonshire Gardens will be delivered in accordance with the One Planet Living principles, and the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals. The development will increase biodiversity on the site by almost 400% and has been designed to support Cambridge City Council’s Climate Change Strategy.

Socius and Railpen are also working in partnership on Botanic Place which will be the second collaboration, where we are bringing forward a new £500m, 500,000 sq ft workspace scheme, designed by architects AHMM. The vision for the office scheme is that it will become the most sustainable and intelligent workspace in Cambridge.
